The sudden map change to i17

Hi,

I dont know why we switched maps without a notice or something, but it seemed very random and breaking to suddenly switch maps as I began to finally settle with a map the majority of the community actually liked. City-8 Lumen was a really nice atmospheric map and the switch to I17 of this version is not really up to good taste of a few people that I know of, i17 overall is far too heavily overused and the community did not have the option to vote on a good map we all like.

We haven't even been on City-8 Lumen for more than 2 weeks and as me and others start making dupes and plans for the map, suddenly we randomly switch. I don't understand why but if the concern was player count numbers (basing off what I've read), switching maps doesnt suddenly resolve such issues hence we were in an era of holidays where people spend time with family. I've seen people in #general and OOC chat saying C8 was better. The other factor is also the new release of DG in which most people would wanna check it out after spending time with family through Christmas and New year. So of course playercounts could gradually decrease and rise through this week. Literally 2 days ago I saw there were 42 people max on and thats quite enough imo.

City-8 was a good map and it feels like a desperate measure to be changing maps so quickly and suddenly. DG will eventually die off from slop and Astro would eventually regain its numbers thanks to the great, quality-rich development, content and general aspects of gameplay worked by Imperial and his developers. To conclude, I call for a revert to the previous map or let the community pick from a selection of new maps we can all agree upon, after all, the community is what keeps the server alive. Without community, there's no development, without development, there's no community, both go hand in hand.

Thanks!

Yas revert stupid change this map is absolutely autistic, i feel like I'm playing DG but slightly more polished. The map is too dark, far spaced, and the catwalks are a dumb advantage.
