I think Commercial workers have a lot of potential that has yet to be fully tapped. So, I propose that Commercial workers have new branches of their expertise. My current only idea for this (but other members are free to reply with their own ideas) is
Technical work!
The wide array of pre-war technology persists even in the rule of the Combine, including TV sets, Radios, and so on! So, I think there's serious potential with having a repair or tech shop!
The possible items you could sell are:
Radios
TVs
MP3 Players (with a USB Plug that you can use to download songs)
Arcade Cabinets, so you could own your own Arcade center if you wanted! (Could take some of the Arcades from Gmod Tower)
VHS Players + VHS Tapes, with Pre-War Movies loaded on so you could have movie nights irp
The possibilities are a goldmine, and the Combine's general apathy towards Earth would probably allow it!
