Questions
Why are you applying for Cremator?: I have a fascination for the combine synthetic units due to their bio-mechanical presence, and wanted to express my fascination through roleplay.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?: I'm capable of keeping a calm but threatening demeanor in a roleplay format, while maintaining a consistently non-verbal presence appropriate for a synth unit, along with a general understanding of how to utilize the cremator not as a combat asset, but as a cleanup detail that only happens after the battle is fought.
What prior experience do you have in similar classes or factions like Synthetics?: Cremator experience in Generation Withstanding HL2RP, Hunter experience in Minerva HL2RP, and 7+ years overall in HL2RP
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?: Due to my living situation, my attendance may not be the most consistent, but I will make an attempt to show up at least once every day to engage in worthwhile interactions and enticing situations.
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus or on the street performing sterilization sweeps, but a ground unit comes up and begins yelling at you. What is your reaction?: Silently listen to them, document what rank they are, and communicate to other units documenting the units lack of cohesive instruction. Proceed with my current task while ignoring the officer, unless physically obstructed.
A citizen repeatedly blocks your path and talks to you in a derogatory way, what is your reaction?: Attempt to reach my destination while applying pressure to the citizen due to their constant interruptions. I'll raise my immolator, but never fire it, and if my pathway is still blocked, and the citizen persists, I'll report that I have an obstruction in my path, and wait for an officer to remove the citizen from the area.
You see an i4 beating and arresting people for seemingly no reason, what do you do?: I'm not a high-rank, I'm a janitor. I'll communicate my findings on the general radio, but that is the extent of what I will do. I'll document it as "Citizen suppression activity exceeding the local baseline", and move on with my current task.
You're sweeping with an attached patrol team in sewers, but are engaged by heavy resistance forces. What do you do?: Stay in the back, and make it an effort to not intercept the patrol team's maneuvers. If the rebels overwhelm the patrol team, I can use the immolator as a deterrent or an act of self defense, but I will never take the offensive approach. Once the patrol team has breathing room or the rebels have fled, I will return to the backline or (in the event of the patrol team being dead) retreat to a safe area until a new team can aid.
A necrotic outbreak is discovered in city by Civil Authority and flagged over radio, but no direct orders have been given during the scramble. What do you do?: I'm a cleanup unit, so unless I'm specifically instructed to come out and assist, I will not do so. My deployment relies heavily on the presence of disposal, not in terms of combat aid unless absolutely necessary and ordered by a high-ranking unit.
An i3 requests a Cremator to his position in sewers without any Ground Lead input. What is your reaction?: Due to my uncertainty of what rank Cremators are placed in, I'll wait until an i2 or above authorizes that request. There's no handbook or guide as of writing this application, so I have to use inferences to what is needed to deploy a cremator.
Terms
Do you understand unnecessary/random burning and removal of player props can result in a blacklist from the faction?: I understand.
Do you understand abusing or minging with Cremator can result in a blacklist from the faction?: I understand.
