Questions
What is the rank you're applying for within the faction?:
Open (perfer Minister/Manager)
Why are you applying for this position?:
From the activity of the faction, there lacks strong leadership.
I only see Foremens posting announcements on the broadcast board, but rarely in-game. With my experience, I want to make the faction stronger with anything I can provide.
That could be just keeping the activity going, managing important documents, handling Foremen and Managers, ect. I want the best for this faction, as for years it's been my go-to, the only faction that has fit for me.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?:
Some of the reasons why I should be chosen over other applicants are my dedication, my experiences listed below, and my understanding of how CWU operates in hl2rp and in lore makes me a good fit for any of the three roles that are open. Throughout my years of playing HL2RP, and servers having a CW/Administration faction, I've learned from previous good leaders and been good at leading from their advice.
- Organizing teams
- Experience in making faction documents and managing rosters
- Easy to communicate between Worker and Command via discord dms or in-game
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP):
- Deep Gaming; Ex-Director of Maintenance & Infestation (i was director twice, but supervisor only once, i'm that good) - Minister Cycle (not officially the Minister, but was tasked with higher duties than the average director, like having access to important CW guidelines and documents. As well as the main Roster Manager, handling most if not all average Minister duties in the absent of the Minister)
- PBMRP; Played as the canon appearance of Wallace Breen, Arne Magnusson, and Eli Vance - Director of Maintenance/Engineering
- Starlight BMRP: Deputy Chief of Security
- VBMRP; Network Administrator/Head of I.T.
- AN Network(not this AN); Staff Manager & Server Lead
- NPCZ; Network Staff
- Real life experience; Used to be an Assistant Manager for a theater, duties relating to managing payroll, schedules, and hiring new applicants. Now currently an full time employee at Google after a transfer from my internship form Microsoft.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?:
The activity on THIS specific server spiked as i swapped over here ever since DG has ruined itself, but however as a switch my time will be spent the majority on here and be always available to manage the faction as well as DMs being open and quick to respond. I may not be online on the server, but on the discord (if there are CW roles) and managing lower supervisors (if I'm a manager/minister)
What sort of roleplay do you plan to bring to the faction and server in this position?:
I prefer more roleplay workshifts than actual coded & purposed workshifts like industrial, example being Engineers going around the city restocking, fixing cameras, welding some pipes, ect. General city maintenance, as well as a food drive where multiple commercial workers group up to create a bunch of food and give them out for free to citizens in need.
I like hands-on workshifts that has more immersive than repeated running around with boxes and making products, or doing laundry. I plan on doing more roleplay based workshifts and/or if granted a higher position, roleplay interviews or meetings regarding notable members, abusive CW workers, or improvements with the faction that I could bring up with server development.
Describe your type of proposed events/workshifts or passive roleplay you would help with or create in the faction?:
I would focus on creating a mix between immersive roleplay main workshifts, and passive roleplay containing active workers outside of scheduled events that keeps the faction active and wanting to play as.
For workshifts, I would organize hands-on tasks such as city maintenance patrols where engineers and workers move throughout the city to repair the city infrastructure, restock vending machines, and maintain equipment.
For passive roleplay, I would encourage workers to stay true to their roles by maintaining shops as commercial, laundry and factory work still happening outside of events or workshifts. I feel like a rewards being given by CW management, like a large amount of money at the end of the week to the person who does the most amount of work or noticed the most, ect. This helps the faction feel active even outside of scheduled events.
Overall, my end goal for CW is to create a balance between activity outside of event and workshifts, as well as workers wanting to join up during workshifts. Which keeps both the faction and the server engaged.
Are you a member of a rebel group, or are you in a leadership position in a rebel group?:
No lmao, I don't rebel in general.
How many hours of loyalist gameplay as a citizen do you have? (rough guess if not exact is fine):
A million gazillion infinite hours, aka rebeling (and fighting in general isn't my play style), every hl2rp server, I've always been a loyalist or leaning to the combine. Some mention-able servers was on synapse as a Priority 1 and on DG as a Tier 6 (only selected by the Office of City Administration Faction Lead). With other servers not really having a loyalist system but still favoring in the combine. So with my history of being a loyalist, you won't have a problem with a split life CW supervisory member.
Scenarios
You're directing a civil workforce shift when CPs arrived led by a supervisor and demand assistance from the Union. What do you do?:
If the workshift is close to being completed, I'd let the Supervisor now we'll be finished in a few minutes and ask if it's urgent or if we're able to quickly finish up our scheduled workshift.
If the Supervisor says the matter is urgent, I'd let everyone know that we'll be wrapping what we were doing just now and quickly assist the CPs in whatever they requested. Afterwards I'd pay the workers for the work they completed as well as overtime pay due to the CP Supervisor needing assistance.
Judgement Waiver has been activated in the city during your workforce shift, what do you do during this situation?:
Depends, Judgement Waiver in the handbook says we need to stay inside. If one of my workshifts do NOT include going outside, we will continue our workshift as normal. If a workshift does conclude, requires going outside, or if asked by the CPs, the workshift will be wait until the end of the JW before heading outside or continuing/starting a workshift.
This keeps all the workers safe from whatever caused the city code, as well as the CPs not having to worry about CW roaming around the city while they are handling the situation.
You receive a written letter from a claimed rebel source regarding a Union hostage, what do you do in this situation?:
If I were to recieve a letter about an Union hostage, I would listen to all of the requests they ask, with notifying CPs with any new knowledge that we have, e.g the location we're meeting for the exchange, or who the worker is. But as an Union, all members are important, this faction has the most humanity unlike the other factions who progressively lose that.
As CW Management, I try to hear my worker's voice and if one of them is in trouble, I will try my best to get them back safely while coordinating with CPs to perhaps deal with the rebel after we regain our lost union member.
You learn someone has stolen from the workshift or you suspect an individual of doing so, what do you do?:
Split question, the first part of the question of me KNOWING that someone has stolen from my workshift, I wouldn't act first, I'm one that won't act without valid proof. Once I get evidence, I will isolate said worker and request CPs to my location for not only stealing from the workshift, but stealing from the Union. However if I suspect an individual, he would be merely watched until I'm sure about what I'm accusing him of. If he wasn't, just let it go. If he did indeed steal, I'd simply do that I said previously.
One of your workshift employees is uncohesive and non-responsive to your instructions. What do you do?:
If an employee/worker isn't being cohesive or responsive, I'd ask him to leave the factory or wherever we're located at, basically relieving him of his duties here.
If he refuses to follow that order, I'd request CPs for insubordination and trespassing after being told to leave. I gave them a chance to walk away after being insubordinate without calling the city police but they failed at that last chance.
You learn another supervisor is abusing workshift mechanics to give monetary rewards to his friends or himself, what do you do?:
As previously stated, I don't act until I have proof. I would act like nothing is wrong, maybe distant, trying to let him continue as to not alarm him he was caught. This gives me enough time to get proof, then act on the situation. Once I have enough evidence, I would request CPs to where we're at and detain all that was apart of the abuse. I'd jot down the names of the employees and keep an eye on them, but blacklist the current CW supervisor from applying for a few weeks to months if it's his first offense. This would take place after having a one to one chat with said supervisor, punishing everyone involved.
Terms
Do you understand abuse of this class can result in blacklisting from CWU leadership, CWU as a faction itself, and possibly even result in server and/or community punishment?:
Yes
Do you understand hiding any abusable mechanics within the faction's systems can result in punishment? (These positions will manage critical integral systems within our server as it develops.):
Yes
