HL2RP Hey all, Soviet here!

Greetings everyone!

My name is Andrew, but most of you know me as xSovietBear or simply as Soviet. As you may already know, I've been the Lead Developer for the Half-Life 2: Roleplay project. Starting this week, I am incredibly excited to announce that I have been appointed as the Director of Development here at Astronet. I'm thrilled to take on a more active role and contribute even more to our community.

To kick things off with some great news regarding the HL2:RP project: we have officially started the process of changing maps! The Development & Production Teams are currently busy implementing quality-of-life changes to supplement the new map, while the Event Team is hard at work crafting an awesome map-change event.

Along with the new map, here is a glimpse of what our teams are working on:
  • Development: Releasing new content like the continuation of the Workforce system, the Medical update, a refreshed Combine HUD, and new voice lines. (Some features will drop with the map change, while others will roll out as they finish polishing).
  • Production: Crafting brand-new models and textures, including fresh Overwatch Soldier models, new UI icons, and enhanced textures for various items and entities.
We're looking for new talent!
While we operate behind the scenes with a small, dedicated team, we’d love to expand. We currently have open positions across a variety of departments, including Development, Gameplay Design, Modelling, and Mapping.
