Community Input: Clothing Overhaul

Hey everyone,

In a recent poll conducted with members of our HL2RP community, we discovered that the topic of clothing is one of the prevailing subjects our user base wants us to focus on. This thread will act as the official way for our community members to help us generate ideas on how to make clothing an interesting and dynamic system for the server. Please be as thorough in your response as you can. Remember: We want to make gameplay features that tie into already released content or planned additions to create more synergy in RP.

Here are some general questions I've come up with to get the ball rolling and aren't all-encompassing. Please try to look beyond the questions provided.

  1. How should clothing be obtained?
  2. What is the relationship between clothing and jobs?
  3. Where is clothing stored/worn?
  4. How should our clothing system interact with users who use E2 to put on outfits? What would our policy be?

1. From a workbench with cloth or plastics. Random pieces of clothing could also be loot you can obtain from lootables.
2. I think once you pick CWU and the work, you still get the work clothing. However, you can still wear clothing you have crafted over the work uniform.
3. You'd access clothing from the inventory menu and you are able to take it off and put it on, similar to how armour works.
4. I feel like E2 bodygrouping clothing items that are now craftable shouldn't be permitted. It should be fair between non-donators and donators, making them both craft the clothing.

  4. cwu jobs would recive their jacket as normal but mabye would stil lbe allowed to wear normal clothing
  5. Where is clothing stored/worn?
  6. store it in the box (low to no weight possibly) and worth using the c menu inventory
  7. How should our clothing system interact with users who use E2 to put on outfits? What would our policy be?
  8. allow bodygroups that dont have clothing items to be used as an e2 but if they exist as an item they arent allowed to be used as an e2
