Why are you applying for this position?: I'm hereby submitting an application for the position of Officer within Civil Protection in order to expand my career within the Faction. I wish to provide my assistance to the faction through my numerous abilities that I've acquired throughout many years. As such, other than basic regulation of the faction such as dealing with defunct units, I wish to be recognized and to suggest new systems which would upmost improve Civil Protection as a whole.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?: I believe I should be chosen over other existing applicants due to my various qualities that I have obtained. Qualities such as, but not limited to: perseverant, determined, patient, team player, communicative, active, experienced, and many more. I would consider myself a perfect fit for such a position, which I can prove not only through my words within this interest form, but through my actions as well should I be granted the privilege of reaching the rank of Officer.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP): My prior experience within roleplaying groups or servers goes all the way back to the year 2019. At this time, I mostly participated in ROBLOX serious roleplays, mostly the Star Wars, SCP, Backrooms and Half-Life genres. I have not only been assigned to basic command positions, but as the second or first in-command of a specific division, department or organized group.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?: I'm decently active on this HL2RP Server, as I main Combine roles, mostly being Civil Protection other than the Transhuman Arm. I usually spend at least 2-4 hours on this server. This of course is not daily as I have my own personal life outside Garry's Mod, however, it does not stop me from making a difference.
Do you have a working microphone?: No, I do not. This shall not be a problem, I'm a fast typer.
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?: I would formally tell the Intention 4 Protection Unit that their behavior is to remain cohesive at all times, giving them a fair warning. Of course, I'm always adapting and assessing the situation. If it is a simple mistake, I'll teach the unit on how to properly act while on-duty. Should it be a simple troller or just an uncooperative unit, they would be deserviced and later on removed from the Combine Faction due to not being fit for the job. I would always make sure to gather evidence beforehand in case of anything.
An i3 is being non-cohesive on the radio, saying things like “idk lol” or “dude I just killed that citizen lmao”. How would you respond?: Following the same instructions as above, I would inform the Intention 3 Protection Unit of their non-cohesive behavior, telling them that they should remain from unnecessary chatting on the local radio and that they should only use it to transmit significant information. I would also inform them on how to speak as a distinguished unit of Civil Protection, as they are meant to show professionalism at all times. Uncooperative behavior due to the subject being mentally unfit or simply doing it for his own amusement, would lead to the deservicement of the unit and their removal from the Combine Faction. Yet again, I would grab a piece of evidence as per protocol.
During a patrol an i4 arrests someone for the incorrect charges. They don't seem to know what they're doing very well. How would you correct them?: During such a scenario, I would interrupt the Intention 4 Protection Unit and inform them of their mistake. I shall then take-over their arrest and tell the unit to carefully pay attention. I would list the correct charges and carry on with the arrest. Furthermore, I would bring the unit to a more isolated area such as the Nexus, away from unwanted Civillians. That is where I will be of assistance to the unit, politely informing them of what he did wrong, what he should do and other advice which would correlate to the situation.
You’re a DcO and an OfC loses his temper and deservices a unit for a minor infraction, which is against our rules. How would you punish the OfC?: I would punish the OfC by demanding his presence at my location as soon as possible. Upon his arrival, while holding upmost professionalism, I shall inform him of his mistake and violation of our rules. It would be irregular and unfitting for the Officer to receive a deservicement as well due to his infraction. As such, he may receive an internal punishment such as a written warning (where we'll keep note of his behavior that does not meet our standards), or possibly a suspension.
You're leading a PT in RDC and hear a beep nearby followed by citizens shouting in code to each other. What do you order your PT to do and what are your next steps?: In such a scenario, I would order my Protection Team to quickly clamp all nearby exits within the building. Adding on, I would transmit information about the situation over TAC-2, and to request a PT to act as a reinforcement team in case anything occurs. All Citizens within would not be allowed to exit or enter the building, and existing civilians within the RDC are to be restrained and searched. Suspicious individuals shall be detained and handed over to JURY units for questioning. Once everything is cleared, my Protection Team alongside myself would withdraw from the area.
A Necrotic outbreak is discovered by your PT and signs show it may already be out of containment of the area, what is your immediate response?: In this scenario, I would immediately inform all active Protection Teams across the radio, signaling for additional units to respond to the incursion. I shall order my Protection Team to clear out the area of any citizens. Uncooperative members of the Civil Populace are to be charged with 507 Public Malcompliance and arrested by the additional units requested earlier. Upon the evacuation of all unwanted citizens, my Protection Team would move in to investigate the Necrotic outbreak, amputating all Xenian Lifeforms and performing one final sweep of the area in order to ensure everything is under control and no remaining threats are discovered. Once sociostabilization is fully restored, entrance to the precinct would be hereby permitted for Citizens.
