What rank are you applying for?: OfC.
Questions
Why are you applying for this position?: Take responsibility for training new recruits and ensuring that standards continue to be met after they are fully inaugurated. Promote teamwork and communication by directly organizing units and leading by example. Encourage regular PT patrols and the construction of checkpoints, hardpoints, and other structures to maintain security and reinforce UU presence, helping to deter anti-civil activity.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?: I understand what the Civil Protection faction actually needs. Consistency, discipline, and the ability to follow the chain of command while still taking initiative when appropriate. I don’t cause OOC problems, I respect server rules, and I focus on creating strong, structured RP.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP): I’ve held leadership positions across several major HL2RP servers, as well as on PoliceRP and Perpheads DarkRP server. In all of these communities, I’ve been responsible for guiding units, keeping structure during operations, and maintaining consistent standards.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?: 4-5 days a week.
Do you have a working microphone?: Yes
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?: Since the individual is clearly behaving in a minge manner, I would issue a direct verbal warning and instruct them to stop immediately. If they continue screaming after the warning, I would make it clear that deservicement is the next step. Should the behavior still not stop, I would proceed with deservicing the unit. If, however, the unit complies after the initial warning, I would continue monitoring them closely to ensure the behavior does not repeat.
An i3 is being non-cohesive on the radio, saying things like “idk lol” or “dude I just killed that citizen lmao”. How would you respond?: I would order the i3 to immediately suspend and cease these unnecessary communications. If the behavior continues, I would pull the unit aside and issue a verbal warning, instructing them to stop. I would explain that continued misconduct could lead to deservicement. After the warning, I would allow the unit to return to their assigned PT duties.
During a patrol an i4 arrests someone for the incorrect charges. They don't seem to know what they're doing very well. How would you correct them?: I would pull the i4 aside and clearly explain what they did wrong, which charges were incorrect, what the correct charges should have been, and how the situation should have been handled instead. Since the i4 is still new, I wouldn’t be overly harsh, but I also wouldn’t be overly lenient. My goal would be to guide them toward improvement while making it clear that repeated mistakes of this kind can lead to more serious consequences, such as re education and, in the worst case, deservicement.
You’re a DcO and an OfC loses his temper and deservices a unit for a minor infraction, which is against our rules. How would you punish the OfC?: I would pull the OfC aside and issue a clear verbal warning, explaining exactly what they did wrong and emphasizing that actions like this can lead to demotion or more severe consequences. I would immediately report this breach of guidelines to the CmD, or to an Admin if necessary. Additionally, I would advise the Officer to control their emotions before allowing them to resume their duties.
You're leading a PT in RDC and hear a beep nearby followed by citizens shouting in code to each other. What do you order your PT to do and what are your next steps?: I would radio my PT to immediately lockdown the RDC and secure any citizens still inside. We would conduct a thorough search for contraband and confiscate anything illegal. I would also alert surrounding units and other PTs to be 10‑0 while my PT and I interrogate the citizens. Any further coded communication from citizens would result in immediate detainment. Citizens found in possession of contraband would be promptly prosecuted. Once all arrests are complete and the area is secure, remaining citizens would be released, and my PT and I would resume normal patrol duties.
A Necrotic outbreak is discovered by your PT and signs show it may already be out of containment of the area, what is your immediate response?: I would immediately report the outbreak over the radio and request that any active units respond, while advising the OTA to remain cautious of any Necrotics visible from the Nexus. I would then have my PT, along with any responding units, evacuate all citizens from the containment zone. I would order all units to exterminate any Necrotics and Parasitics on sight. Once all citizens are safely evacuated, my PT and the other units would conduct a thorough sweep of the area to eliminate any remaining threats. After confirming that all Necrotics have been exterminated and the outbreak contained, I would order a final sweep to ensure no further outbreaks occur before allowing citizens back into the area.
