The Forcefields update has been released, adding a new building item for GRID units to use!

Obtain Forcefields​

Civil Protection GRID units can visit the CP Requisitions Officer to obtain forcefields for building.

Build & Deploy Forcefields​

CP GRID units can place forcefields by opening their inventory and clicking on the forcefield item. It will be placed where the player is looking. Before placing, align yourself with the direction you want the forcefield to go. It will expand out to the nearest edge, to a maximum size.

Edit Forcefields​

CP GRID units can edit Combine Forcefields using their USE key (most often E). Allows for picking up forcefields and editing of the mode. Staff in noclip can use the staff editor version of this.

Forcefield Modes​

  • All - Allows anything through the forcefield.
  • Combine Only - Restricts non-Combine personnel from traveling through the forcefield.
  • Valid Citizens Only - Restricts clear non-citizens, such as those in Rebel attire.

Other Changes​

  • Civil Protection HELIX can now obtain Splints from the CP Requisitions Officer.
  • Splints can now be used on other players rather than having to be dropped to the player and used by them.
  • Fixed an issue where factions that require a quiz wouldn't teleport the player to the faction-specific spawn location until they used the F4 menu later.
  • HL2RP Head Admin and Community Manager can now toggle event mode in-game or via Discord command.
  • HL2RP management can now toggle gamemaster via Discord command.
  • Fixed an issue where having the Combine PDA (F6) or Combine Terminal open when your class was changed could result in a clientside error. The panel will now properly close in these cases.
  • Increased loot spawn rate for Glue.

Scanner Updates​

  • Fixed an issue where the Squad/PT outline of a Scanner would show the player outline instead of the scanner. Thanks to @Sheriff for reporting this issue.
  • Fixed an issue where staff HUD view of Scanner player names updated at a slow rate. A workaround has been implemented since this was a source engine delay with how spectating works. The staff HUD now updates in real-time for scanners like it would for regular players. Thanks to @seqelb for reporting this issue.
  • Fixed Scanners being able to write letters. Thanks to @Flowee for reporting this issue.
  • Fixed Scanners being able to yell, whisper, and roll. Thanks to @Sheriff and @Flowee for reporting this issue.

Event Staff Changes​

  • When in noclip, events staff now receive Event Manager HUD sequences in the top right like staff do.
  • Added a dedicated events staff chat in-game.
  • Events staff can now use noclip when event mode is enabled.
