Why are you applying for this position?: I've been a OfC in this Server for a while now. And in general I have always been interested about the lore aspects of the Universal Union, their terminology and their Tech. and I thought that despite it not officially saying that you're looking for more SqL's, I still might atleast try to apply.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?: I love teaching new Units how they should behave and how NOT to behave, while also trying to keep a balance between seriousness and strictness, while also making it fun and engaging. I also pretty much exclusively Main CP and have a lot of time on my hands.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP): As I said, I have been an OfC for a while now with, in my opinion, pretty good amounts of success. I also lead a lot of PT's as an I1 in Volatility before it shut down.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?: (Timezone: UTC+2) During Weekdays I can be active for a few hours into the Night from where I am. But during Weekends and Holidays I have a lot of time and can be active throughout the entire day if need be.
Do you have a working microphone?: Yes.
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?: Since this Individual is pretty clearly pretty mingey, I would give them a very clear Verbal warning and instruct them to cease this sort of behavior on the spot. If after that he doesn't cease the screaming I would threaten deservicement. If the behavior doesn't cease at that point I would proceed with deservicing the Unit. If alternatively, the unit ceases this behavior I would keep a close eye on him and make sure this behavior does not occur again.
An i3 is being non-cohesive on the radio, saying things like “idk lol” or “dude I just killed that citizen lmao”. How would you respond?: I would order the I3 to suspend and cease these unnecessary communications this instant. Incase of continous behavior I would pull the Unit aside and give him a verbal warning to quit that behavior. I would explain to the Unit that keeping this behavior up can lead to deservicement, after that I would let him go back to their responsible PT.
During a patrol an i4 arrests someone for the incorrect charges. They don't seem to know what they're doing very well. How would you correct them?: I would pull the I4 aside and explain to him exactly what he did wrong, what the wrong charges were, what the correct charges would have been, what he should have done otherwise and how he can do it better next time. As this I4 is pretty much new I wouldn't be too harsh on him, but also not too lenient. I would try to get them to become better, while also instructing him how continous behavior of the sort can lead to harsher punishments like re-education and in the worst case: Deservicement.
You’re a DcO and an OfC loses his temper and deservices a unit for a minor infraction, which is against our rules. How would you punish the OfC?: I would pull the OfC aside and give them a very clear Verbal Warning about what he did wrong and clearly tell him that actions like this can lead to demotion or worse punishments. I would also report this breach of guidelines to the CmD (or alternatively an Admin) immediately. I would also warn and advise the OfC to get their emotions under control before dismissing them.
You're leading a PT in RDC and hear a beep nearby followed by citizens shouting in code to each other. What do you order your PT to do and what are your next steps?: I would radio my PT to lockdown the RDC immediately and secure any Citizens still inside the area. We would go ahead and search for any sort of Contraband and confiscate it if found. I would also radio surrounding Units and other PT's to be 10-0 while my PT and I interrogate the citizens. Incase any further communication in Code from the Citizens is heard will be met with immediate Detainment. Any Citizen caught with Contraband will be promptly prosecuted with possession of illegal items. Once all arrests are complete and the Area is clear the remaining Citizens will be released and my PT and I will resume Patrol.
A Necrotic outbreak is discovered by your PT and signs show it may already be out of containment of the area, what is your immediate response?: I would report through the Radio about the Outbreak and preferably have any active Units respond. while also telling that OTA stay cautious about any Necrotics that may be visible from the Nexus. I would then have my PT and any Units that responded evacuate the area and get the Citizens out of the contaimnent zone, I would also order all units to exterminate all Necrotics and Parasitics on sight. After all Citizens have been evacuated, my PT and I, along with the other Units would sweep the area for further Necrotics and Parasitics and have them all exterminated. Once all Necrotics have been exterminated and the Outbreak has been contained I would order one last Sweep, to ensure another Outbreak cannot occur, before then letting the Citizens back into the area.
