Why are you applying for this position?:I have chosen to apply for this position because I honestly find the idea of playing civil administration an amazing oppurtunity to provide roleplay oppurtunities. Whilst also being more active as a CA in general, seeing as in my opinion one who has the whitelist should commit to the limited time they have it. Thirdly and lastly I enjoy HL2 Universal Union propaganda , which civil administration are excellent at providing thus improving on the oppressive and dystopian rule of the UU.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?:
I have prior experience with the role from other servers years ago which involved me taking a citizen character and ranking said citizen uo the loyalist ladder until she was able to become a Civil Admin faction member. I was heavily active as that character during her time as a CA. I did as stated above. Provided propaganda speeches encouraging loyalty, encouraging cooperatin with civil protection teams, endorsing recruitment into civil protection or the CWU. There was also speeches where I would have my character giving warnings about the dangers of anti-civil activities, contraband, necrotic entities and unshackled biotics. If accepted I intend to do these tasks and possibly more.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP):
As stated above I have been a CA before on multiple occations, further more I have experience as a high ranking CWU medical officer, a high ranking science officer. (All examples purely from HL2RP servers.) I have also had a job in my real life as head of writing staff for a large group on youtube for a long time until the group went bankrupt unfortunately, I have also studied in college to become a teacher however it did not work in my favor but was assured if my medical issues had not arisen I'd have graduated and gone on to become a teacher which in my opinion is a role that requires capability to lead competantly.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?:
Once again as stated previously I will intend to be heavily active in role, this said however there are two days of the week that I cannot be active as a Civil Administration member for which is Thursdays and Saturdays in the United Kingdom timezone. Lastly I will not be active as a CA when it is un called for such as moments when the server's player count is low.
What sort of roleplay do you plan to bring to the faction and server in this position?:
I intend to play as a cold aloof offcial who will not tolerate any form of noncence all while wearing a false mask, a feigned smile for the broadcasts. Their public image drastic from their true image. Secondary to this I intend to provide propaganda at well placed intervals that fit the Universal Union's mold, reading recieved letters that are worth mentioning. In short I intend to play as I have previously mentioned while following server rules and Union law. (Because if it isn't broken don't fix it.)
Describe what makes a good city broadcast and what you might use the broadcast camera for:
Primarily for delivering propaganda speeches, reading letters intended for public listening, informing citizens and CWU workers that a judgement waiver is in effect and what they must do to avoid being associated with anti-citizens in the eyes of Civil Protection and the Overwatch Transhuman Arm. Secondly to this I would likely if given permission by server moderators or administrators host small televised events using the broadcast system.
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up to the CA's office screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?:The best approach to this in my mind would be to first speak in LOOC to check if the situation is a player doing so IC or an inexperienced player new to Civil Protection and messing around for the sake of messing around. Depending on the outcome of their response to the LOOC queestion it can go two ways:
- If the former applies and the situation is IC then it shall be handled IC, resulting in my character calmly requesting the officer kindly cease and return to active duty whilst noting his or her tagline and requesting Overwatch or Civil Protection superiors adminsiter suitable punishment. If the request to cease and leave is ignored Overwatch Transhuman Arm units will be contacted and requested to my location to handle the situation as they deem fit.
- However should the latter situation prove to be the case a member of server staff will be requested to handle the situation and hopefully resolve it without need for a ban or kick from the server for the I4 player in question.
Judgement Waiver has been activated in the city, what do you do during this situation?:
Follow standard protocal which would be to ensure all Civil Protection and OTA units are interlocked and follow their required duties for the JW with caution. Secondary to this would be to announce via broadcast without video feed that a judgement waiver is in affect thus all Citizens, CWU and shackled biotics must be indoors immediately, preferably their assigned housing if possible. (Much like a curfew, which may or may not need to be enacted as a result of the judgement waiver's aftermath dependant heavily on the results achieved by Civil Protection teams and Overwatch Trashuman Arm forces.
You receive a written letter from a claimed rebel source regarding a hostage, what do you do in this situation?:
Immediately provide the letter to Civil Protection to first verify the ledgitimacy of the letter if proven to be ledgitimate then I will allow Civil Prottection to approach the matter with caution however I will also contact OTA forces to be on stand by should the situation lead to the worst outcome, this being a judgement waiver.
A Civil Protection SqL comes to your office to warn you that your broadcasts need to be more cohesive, what do you do?:
I would calmly request that the Sql elaborate in detail why the current broadcasting is not cohesive. If points are valid I would improve said points effective immediately alternatively if the points made are unfounded or invalid I will elaborate calmly that the exsisting broadcast programming is already appropriate and fits Union coheasive criteria, this said I am not under the delusion that being CA marks me as superior to all others I understand that CA are high ranking loyalists with some sway with the UU that doesn't mean I am in command of all factions so I will not insult the Sql's intelligence or outright state that they are wrong or a liar. I will simply thank them for their input and time concluding that I shall take their opinions under review.
