Im not a coder and idk how hard it would be, but having a reason other than loot farming in outlands would be nice, like having small ota npc patrols roaming around during low pop would be enganging, because at the moment with nobody on and litterally nothing to do, there isnt really any other option to play other than to loot farm.
Im also gunna link this NPC addon, because it has a better squad feature, and when a whole combine squad is made, and no threats are nearby, they will just roam around the map.

something to do while nobody is online would be a nice change of pace, they dont even have to drop next to anything in loot because they arent even real players

yea it would also be a good idea to add a addon that allow the NPCs to "patrol" when not in alert mode i think i know wich one can do that but il search

Second addons is heavely customisable you can decide how accurate the combine soldiers are, activate or not certain mechanics ect ect

Our version of the City 24 map has both a nav mesh and AI nodes in the outlands. Issue I've found from testing the patrol addon linked is that it has a memory leak that can take up over 32 GB of RAM and crash the server. We'll have to implement our own approach to fix this.
