Piggy backing off another suggestion I made:

It would essentially be the sanity bar from Aneurism IV, adjusted for HL2RP
Basically it would work as such:
Food and water from civi rations slightly lower sanity. Watching non-OTA humans die slightly lowers sanity. Killing a civi, rebel, or cp moderately lowers sanity. Sanity does not go back up on its own.
Eating farm-fresh food and cooked crab/antlion meat slightly raises sanity. Smoking CWU/CCA cigarettes slightly raises sanity but lowers health. Smoking illegal rebel cigarettes crafted using paper + farm-grown tobacco significantly raises sanity but lowers health. CPs get coffee in their rations which raises sanity. CWU can also buy/sell coffee.
There is a coffee model in the UU-branded models pack. There is a tobacco plant with harvested/grown bodygroups in the Astronet Farming models pack. There is a cigarette pack with UU and Rebel skin variants in the Willard pack, refer to linked post above for more ideas on an agriculture update.
If sanity gets too low, vision gets more desaturated. If sanity is high, things will be more colorful, making it easier to see and less of an eyesore. Maybe more buffs for higher sanity like faster running speed, damage resistance, something like that. Could also make super low sanity make you wobble like moonshine does. OTA would be immune to sanity debuffs, obviously.
This would pair well with the medical update, adding another layer of engaging realism if its implemented in a way that isnt annoying.

I think I speak for all rebel & civi players when I say that moonshining and scavenging get old after awhile. I get that the main loop will always be supplies > craft > shotcop. But variety would go a long way for player retention, especially for those of us who value ambient atmosphere and...
