Why are you applying for this position?: I am applying for this position because I find the role of Civil Administration to be a great opportunity to contribute meaningful roleplay to the server. It plays an important role in shaping interactions between civilians and Combine Players, and I enjoy roles that involve responsibility, structure, and consistency. Through this position, I aim to help create engaging and immersive scenarios that encourage active roleplay for others, while remaining professional, fair, and fully in-character at all times.Why should we choose you over other applicants?: You should choose me because I bring prior leadership experience, a strong understanding of roleplay standards, and a consistent level of activity. I take my roles seriously and focus on creating meaningful interactions rather than passive presence. I am reliable, professional, and willing to learn, while also being capable of making decisions and supporting others in roleplay.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP): I have prior leadership experience within Civil Protection, where I held positions such as OfC, Sql, DvL. These roles required organization, discipline, and the ability to manage personnel effectively while maintaining roleplay standards. Additionally, I held a small supportive leadership role within a Civil Administration group in vanilla. These experiences have helped me develop leadership, communication, and decision-making skills that I believe are transferable to this position.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?: You can expect me to be active around 5 to 6 days a week. During this time, I will remain engaged, responsive, and consistent in my role, while contributing actively to roleplay and server activity whenever possible.
What sort of roleplay do you plan to bring to the faction and server in this position?: I plan to bring structured, immersive, and consistent roleplay that aligns with the Half-Life 2 atmosphere. My focus will be on creating situations that encourage interaction between Civil Administration, civilians, and Combine forces, whether through controlled governance, decision-making, or background administrative roleplay.
Describe what makes a good city broadcast and what you might use the broadcast camera for: Primarily, I would use this position to deliver in-character propaganda broadcasts, read official announcements and letters intended for public listening, and inform citizens and Civilworkers whenever a new city code is in effect, including clear instructions on how to remain compliant and avoid association with anti-citizens in the eyes of Civil Protection and the Overwatch Transhuman Arm. Additionally, I would aim to host small, in-character televised events through the broadcast system to further enhance immersion and provide structured roleplay opportunities.

Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up to the CA's office screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?: I will try to keep this as in-character as possible. In this situation, I would maintain a calm and professional demeanor and instruct the i4 to cease their incoherent and disruptive behavior. I would not escalate the situation personally, but instead handle it through proper channels. If a Supervisor is present, I would report the individual’s behavior to them and allow Civil Protection to deal with the situation accordingly. My priority would be maintaining order within the Nexus while remaining fully in-character and adhering to faction hierarchy and roleplay standards.Judgement Waiver has been activated in the city, what do you do during this situation?: In this scenario, I would first focus on ensuring that all Civil Protection and Overwatch units are properly coordinated and actively fulfilling their assigned roles related to the Judgment Waiver. Maintaining clear lines of communication and controlled execution would be a priority to prevent disorder or mismanagement.Following this, I would initiate an audio broadcast informing the population that a Judgment Waiver has been enacted. Citizens, CWU personnel, and shackled biotics would be instructed to immediately shelter indoors, ideally within their designated residences, until further notice. This directive would serve as a temporary population control measure, with any further restrictions being determined based on the effectiveness and outcome of ongoing Civil Protection and Overwatch operations.
You receive a written letter from a claimed rebel source regarding a hostage, what do you do in this situation?: The first step would be to have Civil Protection formally review and verify the authenticity of the letter to ensure it is legitimate and not fabricated or intended to provoke unrest. During this process, I would emphasize accuracy and discretion to prevent unnecessary panic or escalation. If the letter is confirmed to be credible, I would instruct Civil Protection to approach the situation in a controlled, methodical, and cautious manner, following established protocol and maintaining clear communication throughout the process. Their response would be focused on containment, assessment, and prevention of any further disruption.
A Civil Protection SqL comes to your office to warn you that your broadcasts need to be more cohesive, what do you do?: I would address the situation in a composed and respectful manner by asking the Squad Leader to clearly explain their concerns regarding the effectiveness or clarity of the current broadcast. This would allow me to properly assess whether the criticism is constructive and grounded in valid reasoning. If their concerns are reasonable, I would make the necessary adjustments without delay to ensure the broadcasts remain consistent with Union standards and maintain public cohesion. If, however, the concerns are based on misunderstanding or lack sufficient justification, I would explain—calmly and professionally—that the current broadcasting procedures already meet established criteria and are functioning as intended. I recognize that holding a Civil Administration position does not place me above other factions or grant absolute authority. While CA members are trusted loyalists with limited influence within the Union, this does not equate to command authority over Civil Protection or other divisions. For this reason, I would avoid dismissive language, personal remarks, or undermining the Squad Leader’s perspective. Regardless of the outcome, I would thank them for raising the issue and confirm that their feedback will be taken into consideration moving forward.
