Thiccness's large gaggle of ideas

Since the server is going for a more commerce based, serious RP server while still having a low barrier of entry to players i figured id just post a large gaggle of ideas that i think would lead to a more believable, less "gamey" environment to encourage people to take things seriously without turning to "serious RPrs" complete with sticks up their asses. You dont have to agree with everything i mention here, you can just take the ideas you like and run with em:

This might be controversial, but add permadeath with the benefit that players make new characters with a pool of points they can use to buy skill levels, so they dont have to grind everything 0 to hero again. And you dont loose XP when you die.

Reduce hunger/thirst loss, and have food give you sustenance to a certain cap depending on how high quality it is. So antlion steak, and wine has no cap, but shit rations, and default water has a cap of like- 30. The higher your hunger stats, the quicker you naturally gain strength over time. On the other hand, having 20 or below, will cause you to LOOSE strength over time. This puts an emphasis on eating health, and hopefully makes strength no longer a pain in the ass to grind.

Provide loot containers without contraband drops in the city. Doesn't even need to be a whole lot of em, just enough for civilians to craft everyday items, such as healing items, splints, things of that nature,

Have there be a recycling station in the city that provides a small amount of tokens for depositing materials, or legal items in it. If you attempt to put contraband in it, a siren will blare, and nearby CPs who'd be VERY curious on how you got your hands on such an item in the first place will be called.

Instead of having enderchests that cant be searched by combine, you instead have permanent places of residence you can buy, and permanent containers to store your shit. Having a container in a residence in the city means that its highly likely to get searched in a sweep. Especially if you have roudy neighbors who draw the combines ire. Containers in the sewers/outlands can only be searched during a JW. I personally vote to not make them pickable by other civilians- only combine can break into them.

Remove reb lockers. You can shotcop whenever you want, but shotcopping without a vest gives you -25% damage resistance. Vests shouldn't be too hard to craft, but because your storage is now searchable, you cant expect to get away with smuggling guns and armor into the city and have it not be found before long.

Large weapons show up on your back whether or not their equipped. Nerf magnums as needed so they dont have concealability on top of the benefit of being as powerful as a sniper.

The lockpicking skill dictates what entry tools you can craft. So if you want to make an EMP, you have to be a legit locksmith. We can make it so both crafting, and using entry tools up the stat so its not too big a pain in the ass.

Offer a nice selection of pre war weapons for rebs to choose from. Not all of them have to be relavent, but i bet i can help in making sure no choice is COMPLETLY useless. There's TONS of guns in the world, and personally seeing a good selection of the server sells the idea to be that the world is lived in, but i could be 100% alone in that opinion.

Have a medical skill that dictates what medicine and healing items you can make, but im willing to bet theres already something like that being made for the survival update.

Have their be mandatory work shifts, and curfews that include a headcount. If theres a miscount, and someone's missing, thats grounds for a shadowraid. If a shadowraid goes by, and your kill is not confirmed, they remove you from the citizen database; Next time a camera see's you, or a CP checks you, you will be marked as a anticitizen and treated as such. Once you go reb, theres no going back.

Gonna have to add the ability to spawn outside the city for obvious reasons.

We can take a page from synapse's book and have one of the housing blocks be free (if completely cluttered) for curfews.

Since its alot harder to just jump between being a legal citizen working for a living, and a refugee/rebel squatting in the sewers, it would provide a need for smugglers working with sympathizing workers to smuggle tokens into the sewers so rebs can buy from the BMD.
