Why are you applying to be whitelisted for this faction?:Ever since I joined the server not too long ago, I’ve noticed that there’s a lack of actual rleplay among regular citizens, with most of it being more mingey behavior than RP. While I’ve had some good experiences roleplaying as a doctor, I’ve always been far more interested in the Vortigaunts. They’re a special lore heavy alien species that offers much more unique roleplay possibilities than citizens at this point. Honestly who doesn’t like them, I would love to have the opportunity to RP as a Vortigaunt and bring both serious and some fun RP.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?:
Played both Half-Life games and took a deep dive into the lore, so overall I believe I would be a better fit than most people for this role. I will also show maturity and creativity if I were to be accepted for this whitelist. Along with this, I believe I could find the right balance between being funny and still providing enjoyable RP. What I mean is that I have seen a lot of different roles, not just Vortigaunts, either trying way too hard to be funny or being straight up mingey. On the opposite end, you have people who take it way too seriously. Sometimes this is needed, but not all the time, especially for Vortigaunts.
What prior experience do you have in whitelisted, faction, or leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP):
For whitelist not really anything, for leadership I have had positions in different RP servers, but nothing I really see relevant for this role. On past HL2RP servers I have played as a vortigaunt before, but it wasn't closed off with a whitelist so it isn't comparable here.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?:
In terms of activity, I expect myself to be around a 7–8 out of 10. While I can’t be on every single day, I am active most days when I’m not busy. I’ll be honest, I won’t be playing a Vortigaunt 24/7 whenever I’m on the server, as I also enjoy roleplaying as CPs, overwatch, and other roles. However, I will prioritize playing a Vortigaunt whenever possible and ensure activity within the faction.
What sort of roleplay do you plan to bring to the faction and server if accepted?:
As mentioned before, I plan to bring creative and engaging roleplay rather than limiting myself to only sweeping the streets, even though I understand that this will be required from time to time. I haven’t seen many Vortigaunts interacting with rebels, but I would definitely attempt to explore that, if I were able to escape. Along with that, I could lean into a classic such as a Vortigaunt chef or even something new like a Vortigaunt fortune teller, depending on what I am allowed to do at the time. If permitted, I would also consider working within a business, although I understand this may be unlikely due to lore, but I’d still be interested in exploring it if possible.
