Zombie Movement

Introduction:
Sentient Zombies (Zombie players) are shortly to be put a pain to combat and a strong lack of roleplay. Some players have already learned that zombie faction mostly through DG and PG was consistently confirmed to be full of people willing to make your day worse. Zombie faction is simply anti-roleplay in most scenarios.

They often strafe, they do give a very unrealistic, often used hitbox abuse combat style - Therefore, I present you the idea that will enforce Sentient Zombies to behave more like a zombie instead of giving you that experience:

Idea:

Disable A, S, D keys movement, reduce W speed. This will ensure no strafing and no hitbox abuse + zombie not being faster than a player (Or you can always significantly reduce A, D speed to like 10-15 but still disable S key.

Disallow Sentient Zombies fast character rotation meaning they cannot rotate 90 degrees in less than a second to hitbox abuse again (Rotating backwards, going backwards, rotate forward, go forward etc).
If you really cannot kill a zombie strafing around even though you hit him many more times, then something is not right. Now, my theory is that if this is truly a roleplay-based server then the Development Team will make sure ALL factions are immersive.
 
While I agree that the zombie faction is far from perfect, I personally try to play it as if I were a zombie. Taking away what you're asking for is going to be far more detremental to us than you realize. This said I do belive zombies need tweaking.

A better alternative would be to reduce or remove the ability to sprint from zombies, excluding fast zombies and fast headcrabs. Second the headcrab is limited in terms their lack of ability to open and close doors or open vents. Now in HL2 we see Lamarr (Kliner's pet headcrab) crash through a vent so I think headcrabs should be allowed to gain the ability to smash open vents by attacking it enough. Thirdly to reduce players spamming being zombies I think locking all zombie and headcrab types that are not regular behind a whitelist would definetly help too. Now I cannot emphasize this enough but headcras and likely torso zombies who fall into toxic sewage struggle getting out of it, so perhaps the ability to cimb up small ledges would be helpful. Finally I think it'd be far more useful for zombies if they could select their spawn locations from the zombie apawner menu.

This isn't synapse. If this suggestion will pass, it will simply get rid of all sweaty people as they will not have any form of advantage to abuse against player anymore and this faction would become more likely RP-based for which I believe would create a healthy environment in relation Zombie - Any faction.

I've never played Synapse. So please don't be so disrespectful when I offer a counter arguement as nicely and polietly as I could. So with all due respect I was polite to you I'd like the same response. That is all I have to say on this, have a good rest of your day/night. But in terms of what your asking I'm afraid I don't support it.

But in terms of what your asking I'm afraid I don't support it.
So if somebody presents you the opposite theory with a reasoning behind it you call this a disrespect. With all regards, I have only referred to all sweaty people - if you consider yourself as one then I can't do much about it. For a server like this I believe they simply shall get rid of unrealistic zombie behaviour this way. It does not matter how much you nerf a zombie when there will always be a person that can abuse different mechanics.

Otherwise, your suggestions are okay. Disabling A,S,D, movement is extreme however. I like @Pit's idea to allow headcrabs through vents and give them and torso zombies the ability to climb low elevation surfaces as this would be in-line with the canon.

Slowing movement rotation and strafe speeds are the only reasonable tweaks I can see going forward.

I mean, it's not my issue if you or they consider themselves "a guy playing 24/7". I didn't say "Pit playing 24/7" neither did I mention "You playing 24/7". That's a basic misinterpretation. Make another suggestion instead of making completely different ideas under my suggestion.

Additionally, I believe you both are smart so why would you misinterpret something like this on purpose? That's a weird strategy. My suggestion would simply help everyone, unless you really like to ruin peoples' gameplay with mechanics abuse - Then yeah, maybe you shouldn't act in such a way because it might make people outside of the team feel like Zombie Faction is only for one purpose.

Continue exposing yourself as ill-mannered and incorrigible. I doubt that will turn in your favor - Slowing movement rotation and strafe speeds are the only plausible changes going forward after the already implemented recent nerfs. I continue to stand by that and Pit's wonderful idea to allow low-elevation vaulting + Vent breakage as headcrabs thanks to canonical ability to do so. This is all I have to say - Kindly don't reply to me again.

You missing the point on purpose or purposefully misinterpreting is not my problem. The only problem might be that you're confirming players' theory yet again as a possible ragebait or provocative behaviour in first sentence. If you're having any other issues with me, we can talk in DMs as I believe this is simply not the place for it, thanks in advance.
