UNION's lackluster existence

I have an issue with UNION right now. So far, it is pretty useless compared to HELIX or GRID, vice is non-existent and JURY are doing their own thing. Grid has fancy tech, GRENADES and MP5. Helix are just the best pals.

Union SHOULD have MP7 for i1 at any code, MP5 at i2 at any code, MP5 at i3 at JW.
Union SHOULD have either enhanced movement speed or some damage reduction, make them mini-VICE.
Union SHOULD have flashbangs at Unrest. The fact that all nades are gatekept by VICE and GRID is just heretical.
Union SHOULD have access to frag and fire nades at Commanding ranks (sql and such) at unrest or jw.

Why? Because Union right now is trash. They have no purpose in life, since you can have MP5 as Grid at i1, same as Union. Absolutely no point in playing Union at i4 to i2 ranks, since you don't even get gun earlier. The only playable option at i4-i2 is Helix, since you can actually impact the game. Grid is okay, but they bloom at i2 and i1 with their nades.

Union? Union doesn't do shit. Give them stuff!
For example: Give Glocks/Beretta to UNION as their standard issue instead of USP (or give them ability to choose) that is accessible from i3.
 
I don't wanna just have them all start toting sub guns, otherwise everyone will flock to union and we'll see a resurgence of the "12 CPs with subguns" special that piss me off.

But i definitely agree that they need some help. Honestly, just giving them easy access to flashbangs and gas grenades (and arguably buff the gas grenades radius so you can't just bypass the gass by stepping 5 feet away) would be a great start. And if that proves to not be enough, we can always come back to it.

Flashes can be I3+ and gas can be I2+
 
True enough, but you still can just hop on GRID and have basically the same thing, plus GRID thingies such as lockers and cam repair.
I would still add them earlier access to weaponry and/or a bit of SPS or movespeed.

Grid dosent get flashes and i think they only get gas at I1. So Union getting access to flashes and earlier access to gas would let them lean towards their tactical role without increasing their already buffed movement speed. And i an EXTREMELY hesitant in giving them easier access to sub guns cause then everyone will just ignore the other roles for UNION. Pure dakka beats utility almost every time.

I am pretty sure that yesterday I used a flashbang as GRID and flashed myself like a moron. And I didn't notice increased MS. If it's a thing, then okay.

Im saying CPs in general are faster then normal people. There's no need to ake them even bloody faster.
 
Ok so Grids DO get flashes...

NGL we could always remove them from grid, and give em to Unions.

I want them to act as grenadiers because it would help them an actual utility role instead of just giving them bigger guns. And also the fantasy of CPs regularly using grenades is something i have rarely seen, and would like to see in impulse
