Questions
Why are you applying for this position?:In multiple other HL2RP servers I enjoyed being apart of City Administrator and all variants it came by, able to broadcast important information to the citizens of the city, aiding the civil populous and being a figurehead of the city. I want to try and extend my skills and experience to this server as well with the very little administrators it has.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?:
Now, I might not be as good as AniMiles however I'm experienced in the role of the City Administrator all the way back from the original Impulse with the limit being one no matter what. I've seen it all, taken notes, gotten better, and learned from formal city administrators for years and took all of that information and put it to use.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP):
To keep it simple, my first ever position was staff manager for an abandoned server however was shortly promoted to server manager due to my knowledge of servers and managing staff members well. From there I was Security Sector Inspector (SSI for short) for the "Project: Black Mesa Roleplay" server, in charge of the medical division and most of the main security force, then promoted to Deputy Chief is Starlight (different Black Mesa Roleplay server. After "leadership roles", I took the challenge on hosing my own BMRP (black mesa roleplay) server, in charge of development, moderation (at the time), and reputation. Riggs (oooo scary guy) contacted me due to Project Ordinance was releasing (top of the line Black Mesa server), offered me the project's representative management role, tasked with interacting with the community, hosting events, and overall keeping the reputation alive. All listed positions were left due to my promotion at my actual job from assistant manager to operations manager (technical side, managing scheduling, repairing, and coordinating) however eventually leaving that position on an acceptance letter to Microsoft as an internship (not an leadership position, but mentionable).
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?:
Over all for the week, minimum being 12-14 hours with 2-3 hours a day.
What sort of roleplay do you plan to bring to the faction and server in this position?:
I plan on bringing a strict but fair City Administrator, stern with specific broadcasts and rewarding with my own personal budget. Someone that is seen as a true figurehead. Loyalists may find me welcoming however for the rebellious ones think the opposite.
Describe what makes a good city broadcast and what you might use the broadcast camera for:
In my opinion, a good broadcast is something that's unique while filing the Universal Union's agenda and regulations. As well as something that is interactive, an example being saved for the question below. Broadcasts need to be useful, and have a point obviously, the camera brings more emotion to said broadcast, may it be something that would be better for an TV view, or to give clarity.
Provide examples of city broadcasts you might perform:
Broadcasts themselves, things I might preform would be reminding citizens the benefits of cooperation and loyalty to the union, joining the Civil Protection ensures your family is properly taken care of, and the dangers of aiding anti citizens. For cameras, I was thinking on getting Overwatch to clear a few trustworthy citizens and maybe doing a game, or questions with the CA to interact with the populous of the city and boost civilian's cooperation.
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up to the CA's office screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?:If any non-officer comes up screaming and insulting me will result in the same unless it's an valid reason. I would give them one and only one warning, saying that if they continue they will be deserviced. If they proceed, I will request OTA/SENTINELS to my location to "deservice" said i4.
Judgement Waiver has been activated in the city, what do you do during this situation?:
Now, for clarity. If I am outside of the city with JW starts, I will alert whoever I'm suppose to that I'm heading back inside the Nexus immediately so they won't need to worry where I am and deal with the bigger threat. Afterwards I'd do a broadcast saying that cooperation is key during this time, letting citizens know the safest place is in their apartments and wait out the waiver before heading out.
You receive a written letter from a claimed rebel source regarding a hostage, what do you do in this situation?
If it was mid-broadcast I will not read it out loud, and report it to Civil Protection (Overwatch if they are deployed and Civil Protection has bigger duties/if said hostage is in the sewers), But if I am able to, I would try to make a deal with said hostage privately but safely to avoid all conflicts and safely retrieve said hostage before questioning the hostage over what was said and shared.
A Civil Protection SqL comes to your office to warn you that your broadcasts need to be more cohesive, what do you do?
This applies to not just SqL but all ranks in my opinion, however Officer ranks are required. In all ranks I will ask for improvements and examples with understanding. My job is to serve the union, and if I'm not doing a good job I would like suggestions and improvements. I will abide with whatever the SqL says for suggestions than an i4 if it conflicts.
