C27's 404 Access

In it's current state, City 27 only has a few different access points to the sewers, all of which are behind locked Combine doors.

There is absolutely no way for a player to get into sewers without the help of a lockpick or job abuse or a rogue unit,

it would be nice to see one or two more 404 access points that don't require either of those, even if it becomes riskier to access.

I dont agree with this other way around making it harder for resistance members to escape should be considered.

Resisting should be really rewarding yet I never liked the idea of new players straight up leaving the city in first five minutes of their visit to server and rebelling I believe that it should be harder.

Thanks for your comments.

This is intentional. We want criminals and local resistance members to be the ones smuggling citizens out of the city. I've always felt that citizens should never be able to just walk out of the city as soon as they spawn in, a trend that almost every impulse-based server has had over the years. I suppose how we go about handling 404 access points is just a matter of opinion, but I don't think we're going to be unlocking any of those doors anytime soon

i kinda get this but there is still issues to be had for instance new players can virtually be softlocked if not enough people are online same goes for people who dont have a lockpick id know because i had no lockpick and had not been able to get to the outlands for actual irl days. i feel like there should be more incentive for cps to check or guard 404 zones and npc's inside the sewers as maybe a less unfair way of making it harder to escape

A good observation. In the context of a small server with a low player count like ours, the likelihood of running into someone with a lockpick may be lower. I am still a firm believer in the locked doors being a challenge for those who desire to be resistance members, but I can understand how currently it may be a little unfair. I’m willing to give you, Cabby, a couple of lock picks which should help you get to the 404 zones easier. You’re an active user and you could be the “criminal” in the city who lets other users escape to the 404 zone
