HL2RP HL2RP Jury & Clothing Update - Playtest

The Jury Inspection update, Clothing update, and host of other changes are here. Includes fingerprints, body inspection, case files, new Combine hand models, city speakers, 29 new city voice broadcasts, bodybags, new stunstick model, Combine thermal visor, and many optimizations/improvements to the framework. The map is now City 3. See below for details and join us for our upcoming playtest!

ADDED | Inspect Bodies

Uninspected bodies will appear on the Combine Overlay for JURY units. Once inspected with interaction menu (F2), the color will change. Inspections take a brief amount of time to perform initially. After the inspection, the findings can be reviewed. Inspecting the body again will show the findings for review right away.

ADDED | Inspection Menu

You can now use forensic items to aid in your investigations. Multiple items can be received from the requisition officer: Fingerprint Kit, Laser Trajectory Kit, Impression Kit, Gunshot Residue Kit, and Bloodstain Pattern Kit. All of these can be used alongside the Trace Evidence Kit to help identify the suspect!

ADDED | Crime Scene Markers

JURY units can use scene markers to create a visual crime scene that other JURY units can also see. This prevents items from being picked up and allows for JURY to complete their investigation, including using the fingerprint scanner on any items. Scene marking items contributes to the forensics reveal chance on the body and trace kit.

ADDED | Fingerprints & DNA Analysis

Equipping certain items such as weapons can now leave fingerprints if the person is not wearing gloves. These fingerprints have a chance of being discoverable by Civil Protection JURY depending on how much time has passed. Fingerprinting items and adding them to the correct case file contributes to the forensics reveal chance on the body.

ADDED | Case Files in PDA

As JURY units work on inspecting bodies and using forensics kits, the findings are automatically compiled into a case file accessible by all JURY units in the Combine PDA (F6). Here the details of the findings as well as case notes can be read or written. Case notes are shared to all other JURY units that view the same case file.

ADDED | Bodybags

Bag and transport bodies by interacting with them and having a bodybag ready. Bodybags can burn in fire and dissolve in toxic acid.

New stunstick model has been added for Civil Protection, which pairs well with Astronet's other weapons and the new hand models.

ADDED | Clothing

Featuring 60 new clothing items that are craftable using the new Sewing Machine. This machine can be obtained by CWU Commerce workers, who may choose to sell clothing. Clothing interactivity has been added, allowing certain items to have unique effects on players such as gloves hiding fingerprints during investigations!

ADDED | Sewing Machine & CWU

Sewing machines have been added to the Business menu and can be purchased by CWU Commercial workers. Sewn clothing can be sold to citizens who can choose to wear it or store it in their apartment closet for later.

ADDED | Apartment Closets

Closets in apartments can be used to store clothing, which does not count toward your inventory storage.

ADDED | Bag & Satchel

Adds more inventory space to your character when worn, also very stylish!

ADDED | Improved City Voice & Speakers System

City Voice, Dispatch, and City Administrator broadcasts are now fully animated and type out, featuring additional voice lines for Dispatch to enhance immersion. New alert chimes have been added to the broadcasts with 29 new broadcasts. City Speakers have been placed around the city which now broadcast within their proximity. Being in remote areas such as the Outlands means that some rebels may not hear the city broadcasts. Combine units have a failover remote system for playing broadcasts when they are in far away areas, unless they are marked defunct and disconnected from the Combine Uplink.

ADDED | Thermal Night Vision

Civil Protection units can equip a Combine Thermal Visor to add thermal capabilities and greatly enhance their (F7) night vision. Can be obtained from the Requisitions Officer. Civil Protection ranked DvL and above deploy with the item automatically equipped. Overwatch units have this enhancement by default.
  • CHANGED Combine night vision (F7) to allow toggling the flashlight. This can be useful in scenarios where Combine units want to utilize night vision without revealing their location.
