HLA weaponry

since we already have the PM for the combine HLA units (grunt, charger, and ordinal) i think it would be nice to give them their proper weaponry pulse SMG, AR1, pulse shotugn ect ect(if they exist in the weaponbase the server use)

Half-Life: Alyx playermodels are only part of one of the addons we have and are not integrated into our current system for how OTAs work. We have a rather limited relationship with HL:A content, and I don't think porting Half-Life: Alyx assets one-to-one into the Half-Life 2 game would be effective.


First, we would need to rework the OTA models entirely, which is on our to-do list but, as I mentioned, it's not our main focus at the moment.


That said, I would welcome these weapons later on in the development track.

i noticed that the ordinal playermodel is actively used (for the ODL OTA rank) currently is it planned to give him his weapon (aka: the AR1) ?

Ordinal is just a rank and the model is made to better fit the rank and have leaders of divisions stand out.

I do not think there is a plan to introduce HL Alyx weaponry, especially when the focus is on the civil side of roleplay and passive roleplay aspects.
