What rank are you applying for?: OfC
Questions
Why are you applying for this position?:
I really like the structure and RP side of the Combine, and during low pop hours in the early parts of the day there is a distinct lack of supervisory units, and I'd like to change that and to make the game more fun for new players that are new to the Combine faction.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?:
Due to my extreme activity on the server and in the Combine faction and my love for the RP side of it. I also love helping out new players to the server, including teaching them the codes and rules of the faction.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP):
Mostly on Roblox on long gone roleplay games before and during the early days of covid. (
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?:
Daily during the summer early in the day, and after I return from school during the school week's.
Do you have a working microphone?: Yes, i do.
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?:
I would demand that the I4 cease his behavior and explain what he is doing. After the explanation (if there is any), I would explain to him that continuing to act like that would result in disservice. I would have him interlock with a patrol and keep a close eye on him during the PT, and if that behavior continues, I'd then take further action (for example, disservicement).
An i3 is being non-cohesive on the radio, saying things like “idk lol” or “dude I just killed that citizen lmao”. How would you respond?:
I'd tell them to cease such communications and preferably pull him aside and explain to keep comms professional and in a cohesive way and inform him that continuation of said "non-cohesive" comms will result in disservicement. After informing him, I'd keep a close eye on the PT he's a part of and his radio communications.
During a patrol an i4 arrests someone for the incorrect charges. They don't seem to know what they're doing very well. How would you correct them?:
I'd pull him aside out of his PT and inform him that the charges he prosecuted the civilian for were incorrect, then I'd explain to him what charges would be correct in that situation. I would also provide the CP textbook in LOOC for him to read. I'd also tell him if he's unsure of something to go ahead and ask me anything he is struggling with. After the incident, I'd have him return to PT.
You’re a DcO and an OfC loses his temper and deservices a unit for a minor infraction, which is against our rules. How would you punish the OfC?:
First, I'd inform the OfC and make it very clear that what they did was unacceptable and a serious breach of rules. I would demand an explanation and tell him that deservicing a unit over something minor shows a lack of control and poor judgment and that he needs to control his emotions. I would then inform Cmd and have him return to his PT for the time being.
You're leading a PT in RDC and hear a beep nearby followed by citizens shouting in code to each other. What do you order your PT to do and what are your next steps?:
I’d have my patrol immediately form up and secure all exits and entrances to the RDC. Then I’d have them inject into the RDC, secure the area, and contain all nearby citizens. Any citizen speaking in code would be detained, as it shows non-cohesive behavior. We would then search the citizens for any contraband. After that, each one would be interrogated to gather information about the source and cause of the beep. Any citizen found in possession of contraband would be prosecuted. Once all arrests are completed, we would release the innocent citizens and resume Code 12.
A Necrotic outbreak is discovered by your PT and signs show it may already be out of containment of the area, what is your immediate response?:
I'd have my PT immediately respond to the outbreak and inform all active units on the radio to also respond, then we would secure the area and get all the citizens to move away, and then we would begin sterilization procedures (amputating all the necrotics and parasitics). After sterilization, I would order any active Helix to begin body cleanup. We would continue to standby in the area of the outbreak to make sure the situation has stabilized and body cleanup is complete. After that, we would resume Code 12 (Code 12 is basically patrol).
