Might I ask for an exception regarding my exp for now? obviously i'm trying to raise my exp in the meantime (at the time of writing this I'm at 585 exp)
Questions
Why are you applying for this position?: I was always very interested in the Universal Unions lore, terminology and their tech in general ever since I knew HL2. And in the time of playing HL2RP i've been learning more about it and I finally want to learn about being an OfC.
Why should we choose you over other applicants?: I love to help out new units and teaching them what they are allowed to do and what they are not. I want to place a nice balance between being serious and motivate new units to become better. I also main Civil Protection almost exclusively.
What prior experience do you have in leadership positions? (Doesn’t have to specifically be HL2RP): I have been leading some PT's as an I1 in Volatility (which weirdly disappeared for some reason) with positive amounts of Success.
What kind of activity can we expect to see from you?: (Timezone: UTC+2) On Weekends I can pretty much be Active for very long amounts of time (like..potentially 5+ hours if not for way longer, depending when I wake up) and during weekdays most likely around noon to evening for a few hours because work.
Do you have a working microphone?: Yes, I do.
Scenarios
You’re in the Nexus and an i4 comes up screaming in your face and insulting you. What would you do in that situation?:
First I would command the I4 to cease this sort of behavior and demand him to explain what he is doing, and why he's doing it. I would also mention very clearly that further engagement in this sort of behavior can and will lead to re-education or even deservicement. If this behavior continues after that I would pull him aside to an isolated location (preferably Nexus) and mark him for Deservicement.
An i3 is being non-cohesive on the radio, saying things like “idk lol” or “dude I just killed that citizen lmao”. How would you respond?:
I would call out the Unit through the Radio to cease these non-cohesive communications immediately, though I'd rather do that in person if it is possible at that time. I would also warn them that continuing non-cohesive behavior can and will lead to re-education or deservicement. I would keep a close eye on the I3 by having them in my PT so I can observe their behavior, or paying close attention to the PT he is currently in. including further Radio comms of this unit.
During a patrol an i4 arrests someone for the incorrect charges. They don't seem to know what they're doing very well. How would you correct them?:
I would call out the Unit and pull them aside to inform them about the incorrect charges. I would also tell them what would have been the correct charges they should've given in the arrest. I'd advise them in LOOC that they should read the Civil Protection Handbook to educate themeselves. I'd then ask them if they have any questions they might want answered and that they can always ask me or other units. After that I would be sending him back to his PT and monitor his activity for a little while if possible.
You’re a DcO and an OfC loses his temper and deservices a unit for a minor infraction, which is against our rules. How would you punish the OfC?:
I would immediately pull the OfC aside and make it very clear to them that this is a serious breach of rules and completely unacceptable behavior from a Supervisor. I would want to demand an explanation from the OfC and warn them that this sort of behavior can lead to demotion I would also report this breach of rules to the CmD shortly after if not immediately. I would advise them to really get their emotions under control before dismissing them.
You're leading a PT in RDC and hear a beep nearby followed by citizens shouting in code to each other. What do you order your PT to do and what are your next steps?:
I would radio my PT to have the RDC locked down ASAP and secure the citizens that are inside the RDC. We would then search for contraband and interrogate all citizens about the source of the disturbance. Any further communication in Code from Citizens will be met with immediate detainment. If any Contraband is found the carrier will be prosecuted with possession of Illegal Items. If all arrest are completed the Citizens will be released and My PT and I will resume Patrol.
A Necrotic outbreak is discovered by your PT and signs show it may already be out of containment of the area, what is your immediate response?:
I would immediately report through the Radio about our discovery and preferably have any active units to respond, and have my PT respond by locking down the area and evacuating any remaining Citizens out of the area. Then I would order my PT and any active units who responded to amputate any Necrotic on sight, and actively search for them. Once the outbreak is successfully contained and all Necrotics are eliminated My PT and I will do one more sweep around the area to ensure that another Outbreak cannot occur, before letting the Citizens back into the area.
