OTA QRF (Quick Response Force)

I did. The rules specify they can only be sent out to take out a specific target, or raid a specific building.

Dosent say anything about assisting the CPs on fending off a rebel takeover when JW isint allowed.
That's kinda the point, make a surgical strikr where further opposition is futile.

A surgical strike wont do shit in a street war. Things are too spread out, and too chaotic to be able to narrow things down to one target, or building. And even if you can, by it would take enough time and effort that by the time you know THE EXACT PERSON whos attacking, or the EXACT building they're hiding at, the person in question would have left, or the rebels in the building in question would have either already been killed by the CPs, or they would have moved somewhere else.

I need something in the lines of: "Theres a FUCKTON of rebs in the slums, and every time we send CPs over there, they die and the rebs give the dropped guns to civilians, and things are escalating out of hand! " "Alright, here's 2-3 OTA, just make an organized push with them, and they'll clear em out."

As a CP player, rebels dome us either from our skill issues or through some magic voodoo that I somehow didn't see. Either way, I think a OTA QRF is a bit overkill, I think we should instead TOTALLY hire a bunch of citizens with guns and make them fight the rebels for us.

I... Hope you're kidding about the armed citizens thing.

And personally, i think OTA in general is in a bit of a frustrating spot for the people who play them because their very exsistance is overkill, and because of that, nobody wants to interact with them.

I honestly think that making them much more aggressive but either balanced like game accurate OTA instead of lore accurate OTA (only 1.5-2 times tougher then a CP but better weapons and tactics), or reducing their playercount as a whole to make them beatable is the best way to handle them.

But coming up with a system that lets a manageable amount of OTA assist CPs when they need it is the best compromise i could come up with.

it is a joke, yes but i've actually managed to hire a couple of citizens and let them loot guns from fallen rebels, and in turn they fight the rebels. its rather fun

Regardless of what you feel about the specifics of the suggestion here, the main takeaway i want to have is that:

We should normalize combine being able to pick some of their own fights (cause i currently never seen such happenings. Having shadowraids happening, like, once a day if that is NOT enough). Sending CPs to sweep the sewers after an attack should be allowed, and sending OTA to reinforce overwhelmed defenses just makes logistical sense.

And if the OTA wants to actually have fun, and get into fights at a regular basis, we need to come up with ways for them to get into fights without drowning the rebs in supersoldiers.
