What rank are you applying for? OvC
Are you currently in a known rebel group? (Yes)
Are you currently a supervisor within civil protection? No.
General Questions
Do you have a microphone? Yes.
Why should we pick you over other candidates? You may write whatever you wish in order to convince us that you should be whitelisted. You might want to include experience, superior qualities, what we might be able to expect from your etc. Essentially sell yourself, make us pick you.
I think I’d be a good fit for OVC because I focus more on keeping things organized and calm rather than jumping straight into force or escalation. When things get hectic, I try to slow situations down, keep assets together, and make sure everyone is actually on the same page before acting.
I’ve helped co-lead patrols before, mostly with uniforming and keeping cohesion. One time during Condition Alpha, the usual uniform route was blocked, so we had to adjust quickly and split properly without causing confusion. Stuff like that made me realize how important communication and coordination are, especially in supervisory roles.
Specific Questions
An OWS is 10 codes, as a supervisor what do you do?
I’d correct them right away and tell them to stop using 10-codes, since OTA uses its own terminology. After things calm down, I’d remind them to go back over the handbook so it doesn’t keep happening.
A EOW is speaking to a citizen, it seems like casual chit-chat, as a supervisor what do you do?
I’d order them to disengage and return to cohesion with OTA assets. OTA units aren’t meant to casually interact with citizens, so I’d make sure they either return to stasis or resume proper duties depending on the situation.
You are a lone asset on a patrol, you see a rebel run inside a building, the building has no other exits or entrances, there are other assets active. What do you do? I wouldn’t push in alone. I’d hold position, report the anti-citizen’s last known location and vector to command, and wait for other assets so the situation can be handled safely and properly. ( I shouldn't be on patrol as a lone assest in general).
An EOW asset is purposefully going out onto plaza and refusing to listen to orders, as a supervisor what do you do? I’d give a clear order for them to return to Nexus and enter stasis. If they continue to ignore orders, I’d report it up the chain and wait for authorization before anything else happens. I wouldn’t escalate it on my own.
An i1 unit runs up to you and start screaming at you because you had let them die, as a supervisor what do you do? I’d stay professional and disengage. OTA isn’t responsible for CP safety unless assigned, so I wouldn’t argue or escalate the situation. If it keeps going, I’d report it rather than handle it myself.
A CA is being un-cohesive, speaking none approved languages and spreading anti-combine propaganda, what do you do? I’d report it to higher Overwatch and coordinate with other assets. Once authorization is given, the CA would be handled appropriately to prevent further disruption or spread of propaganda.
Before the city can be returned to civil from Judgement waiver, what must CCA await for from OTA? CCA needs confirmation from OTA that the anti-citizen presence has been dealt with and that city vectors are under control. If there’s still a small threat, the city would de-escalate to Unrest instead of returning straight to Civil.
You are an OvC and condition Alpha is called by an ODL, what do you do? I’d make sure all active STs uniform at Nexus and stay organized. I’d help maintain cohesion, make sure no one refreshes unnecessarily, and assist the ODL however needed during Alpha.
You are leading a OZ with 2 other assets when suddenly you hear 3 anti-citizens speaking to eachother inside a small house and they haven't heard you approach. How would you deal with this situation? I’d quietly let my assets know what we’re dealing with and make sure everyone is ready before engaging. We’d move carefully and only push once we’re positioned properly so we don’t give away our presence too early.
A Jury unit reports there is an active rogue inside a known rebel outpost on the Storm System. What do you do in this situation? I’d limit unnecessary radio traffic and inform Overwatch command right away. I’d then coordinate with my ST to uniform and prepare for insertion once authorization is given, and handle the rogue asset according to protocol.
