Why do you wish to apply for APF?
I find APF very, very interesting. I enjoy the "support class" type role, playing as the beefy tank who takes the back lines, cleaning up the "harder" enemies to fight. Being the one to provide cover fire is very important when it comes to a sweep, and I think I could flourish in this role.
What do you think APF represents?
As I said in the first question, APF represents the support of the Overwatch Transhuman Arm, similar to MACE or WALLHAMMERs. They are the backbone of any squad fighting their way through a horde. Mowing down the opposition and providing sustained cover fire, allowing their teammates to get into better positions or to regroup. In all, they act as the glue keeping the operation together.
Do you think you can bring anything new to the division?
I believe I can bring competency with a roleplay-oriented mind. I want to be a "roleplay-first" APF operative, and keep sweeps/raids/whatever entertaining for all parties, utilizing /me's and text-chat.
Deployment scenario:
You are deployed as an ST lead alongside 4 other interlocked assets: 1 MACE, 2 ECHOs equipped with AR2s, and 1 ECHO with an MP7.
You are displaced on an OZ sweep and begin approaching the doorway leading to OZ-2 when you realize a group of up to 7 rebels have established a foothold in OZ-2 and have created a killzone within said transfer hallway. It is also reported that they have a confirmed sniper on top of one of the 2 warehouses. Your ST has been tasked with clearing out the sector with minimal losses; failure is non-negotiable. How will you proceed? (Keep in mind, you are leading the ST and have full control over your interlocked assets)
First, I will establish and note the ranks of each interlocked individual.
The AR2 ECHOs are EOWs, and with that, they have a smoke, flashbang, and tear gas.
The MACE and MP7 ECHO, I will count as both as OWS, meaning they have only their weapon.
We must first pinpoint the exact warehouse the sniper is on top of and begin suppressive fire, attempting to eliminate them.
Once the sniper threat is dealt with, we will begin coordinating an assault on the transfer hallway. If possible, I would radio in to get another Stabilization Team moving to the other end of the hallway, though this may take a long time and thus is a backup option.
I would first order both EOWs to begin utilizing their Extractors, preferably first the smoke and tear-gas.
Once the hallway has been thoroughly gassed, we will throw in a flashbang before the MACE and MP7 ECHO breach. I'm betting and assuming the MACE and MP7er can take out at least 3-4 of the rebels before flatlining. That leaves 3-4 more possible rebels for us. The 2nd AR2 ECHO will throw their flashbang in shortly before breaching. Once those two breach, I will push in to cover the rear, overwhelming and taking out the remaining forces.
Once the hallway is cleared and the sector is secured, we will continue our sweep before falling back and finishing up.
