Revert latest weapon changes

In the latest update 2.14, balancing changes were made with this suggestion in mind. See if it's better now
Are they BETTER?
Yes.

Is it GOOD? No.
The FN FAL has basicly 1.26 the DPS of the SMG while having half the mag capacity, a less forgiving RoF, more recoil, and a MUCH higher weapon and per bullet cost.

The SKS is admittedly better and might be a decent pick... Edit: Ehhhh. Not really. SMG's probably a better choice unless its actually pretty inaccurate

The ZV seems to barely be changed at all, in fact, the same can be said for the FN FAL (for the record, still a serious no go)

Is there a big reason why you gutted the RoF of most of the automatic weapons in the server? I dont think anyone here ever complained about the TTK of machineguns in general on this server (I mean... Apart from some pistol using CPs but... they're more upset that they are out gunned when part of the entire CP experience is to BE outgunned, then necessarily upset at the servers TTK. If they all had pre nerf SMGs, they wouldn't be complaining at ALL so...) so why nerf them to hades? All it does is just solidify the burst damage weapon meta even more.

Not to mention simply having the RoFs be so unrealistically slow pains my gun autism

The MP7 firerate is also still really slow, as for the bullets its okay its 40 rounds in a mag but the firerate should be increased a bit, same for the USP its still too slow. Also OSR still needs to be nerfed and so does the AR2.

(btw imperial, no pressure with all this, take your own pace and time were just listing crucial things. thanks)

I just want this shit reverted, then we can discuss changes from there.

It feels like ALL the weapons are slower now, is it just me? Am I retarded, rebel mains???

The only problem is that users, even since Impulse, have said guns were unbalanced, leading to a constant back and forth on what people thing is “OP” and underpowered. We could increase a certain value, and then the next week a couple users could say its way too powerful now. What makes this especially difficult is that this is not an exact science— we, the users that is, are trying to make changes based off vibes and not off of the actual values associated with each weapon. This is kinda why I had hinted to Imperial about possibly forming a testing team, so we can have a user led body that can truly communicate to the playerbase whether or not something is balanced or not. Perhaps if there is larger interest in this, we may turn it into a real thing.

Either way, give it some time before dispelling the recent changes. I’ve seen Combine officers get laud out in expert moves recently despite people saying otherwise

I like to balance directly off of numbers first, and feel second because numbers aren't biased ,and i can tell you: besides the FNFAL being too weak, the magnum being too strong, and the ammo economy being unbalanced, things really were not bad.
 
And yeah im aware things aren't COMPLETELY CP sided now: we still have good weapons like the magnum, shotgun, and M16, but the big thing is that:

A: The list of viable weapons got smaller, not bigger

And B: You gave all the automatic weapons very slow ROFs which not only harms my gun autism, but makes burst damage weapons even more meta.

The trick with burst damage weapons that throws alot of developers off is that just cause ARs have equal or higher DPS then the burst damage weapons dosent mean that burst damage weapons aren't as viable if not more so then the DoT weapons.

Being able to deal a huge chunk of damage to initiate a fight, and being able to do that much damage in a single instance before taking cover is a HUGE fucking boon.

There's a reason why shotguns and snipers that kill in 1-2 hits are viable in games where machineguns kill in 3-5 shots, much less 6-12.
 
i know im late on this but i want to point out that the mp5 was shadow nerfed for no reason its now literally just a mp7 with 20 less fire rate and terrible accuracy this wasnt even in the logs

on another note ALL PISTOLS NOW DO THE SAME 10 EXACT DAMAGE most the ones that cost higher than usp having worse fire rate there was no reason to do this since their all basically just usp but costs more now
